Music Scholarships
A limited number of music scholarships are available to outstanding students who declare a major in music or who commit to substantial participation in the activities of the music program. These scholarships come from a variety of sources:
Gloria Shott Fine Arts Scholarship
Available to students who declare a major in Music, Music Education, Art, or Art Education.
C. J. Dismukes Music Scholarship
Available to students who declare a major in Music or Music Education and who commit to substantial participation in the activities of the music program.
Alva Pendergrass Band Scholarship
Available by audition to students who commit to participation in the band program.
Roy E. Bottoms Golden Eagle Band Scholarship
Available to students who commit to participation in the Golden Eagle Band.
Other ScholarshipsAuditions
Numerous other scholarships are available through the University Office of Financial Aid.
Students who wish to be considered for a music scholarship must audition before the music faculty. Auditions will be held in the Nix Fine Arts Center on campus on February 23, 2013. Earlier or later dates are available by appointment.
