Tim Keyser
Associate Director of Bands, Adjunct Professor of Tuba and Euphonium
Tim Keyser has worked as a freelance musician and music educator in the Atlanta area since 1994. He has been a member of the 129th Army Band since 1993 and has performed throughout the United States and overseas. As a freelance musician, Mr. Keyser has performed with the Peachtree Brass, the Rialto Brass, the Atlanta Brassworks, the Atlanta Brass Band, the Georgia Brass Band, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Keyser attended Tennessee Technological University and received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Georgia State University. He received both Master of Education and Educational Specialist degrees from Lesley University and Educational Leadership certification from Kennesaw State University. Mr. Keyser’s primary tuba instructors include Don Strand, Michael Moore, R. Winston Morris, and Ron Davis. Mr. Keyser has taught for Forsyth County Schools since 1998 at the middle and high school levels and served as the Brass instructor at Georgia’s Governor’s Honors Program at Valdosta State University in 2000 and 2001. At North Georgia College & State University Mr. Keyser serves as Professor of Tuba and Euphonium, Assistant Director of Bands, and performs with the faculty brass quintet.
