Military Students:

Please submit a Medical Report and an Immunization Form to Student Health Services prior to class registration.

Failure to submit an Immunization form or submitting incomplete immunization information will result in a Hold begin placed on your Banner Account.  The Hold will be lifted temporarily when you sign a contract with Cadet Admissions agreeing to complete the required information.  The Hold will be permanently lifted once your immunization requirements have been satisfied.  Active Military, National Guard or Reservist need only provide Military ID card to Student Health Services for documentation.

Failure to submit the NGCSU Medical Report or a Military Form DD2351 or DD2808 with evidence of a "Qualified" medical physical performed within 1 year of the first day of FROG Week will  prohibit participation in the ROTC program.  The NGCSU Medical Report/Military Form DD2351 or DD 2808 must be received by Student Health Services prior to the first day (in-processing) of FROG Week. These forms can be found on the Military's AKO website. If you need help accessing them the AKO helpline number is 866-335-2798.

What should you know about student health services?

It is the goal of Student Health Services to provide basic health care services and teach prevention and self-help skills to the students.

All currently enrolled student who pay the Student Health Fee are eligible for care at Student Health Services. Student Health Fees collected each semester cover services provided in the health clinic with the exception of specific immunizations (see immunization web page), laboratory test and medications provided in the Women's & Men's Health Clinic. All students must pay the Student Health Fee in order to take advantage of the services offered by Student Health Services. 

The clinic is staffed by a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Practical Nurses, as well as a Physician who is available by appointment. A health professional will assess, evaluate, and treat students for acute illness and injury as well as general health maintenance. If after evaluating the student a provider feels an additional evaluation or treatment is required, the student will be referred to a local physician, hospital, or their private physician.

The clinic provides many over-the counter medications, first-aid supplies, and prescription medications at no additional cost to the student.

Student Health Services is located in the James G. Woodward Clinic at 110 South Chestatee Street, Suite 100 in the new Campus Commons Building. See campus map.  

 

Announcements:

Flu Shots are now available beginning Sept 25th until supplies run out.

Shots will be given Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 pm and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Student Health Services offers flu shots at no additional charge to all students who have paid the student health fee. Students who have not paid the fee can also get a flu shot for $15. The fee should be paid at the business office and the student should bring their receipt with them to the clinic so the shot can be administered.

Beginning October 9th Faculty/Staff will also be offered the flu shot for $15. The fee should be paid to the business office and the receipt brought to the clinic so the shot can be administered.
