Who is eligible?
Students or faculty/staff that have studied abroad or had an “international experience” in the last year are eligible to participate.
How to participate
- Contestants should submit an electronic and hard copy of the photo.
- Contestants should include the following information: contestant name, name of photograph, major, class (year), hometown, brief story about the photo (subject, location, etc…), and contact information (address, phone number and email).
- Minimum print size is 8” x 10”. Digital copies should be no more than 500 pixels.
- The photo must have been taken either by or of the contestant.
- Contestants may enter a maximum of 5 photos.
- Submit photos along with entry form .
Submission
Submission deadline is November 1st 2011. Remember you must submit photos in BOTH electronic and print formats.
To submit photos by email:
- Attach one entry form with the corresponding photo to an email. Subject line should be: photo contest.
- Send the email with both attachments to: studyabroad@northgeorgia.edu.
- Photos must be in .jpg format, file size from 350 KB to 5 MB.
- NOTE: Please attach only one photo and one entry form to each email. For multiple submissions, a separate email should be sent for each photo and entry form.
- Don't forget to turn in printed photos as well!
To submit photos in person or by mail:
- Type information on entry form with the corresponding photo and print.
- Save your photo(s) to a CD. Write the title of your photo(s) on the CD (multiple photos can be submitted on a single CD).
- Photos must be in .jpg format, file size from 350 KB to 5 MB.
Submit your CD and completed entry forms in an envelope addressed to:

Display & Voting
Photos will be displayed on the third floor of the Library Technology Center as part of International Education Week. A ballot will be available at the display so that people can submit their votes.An opening reception will take place in the library lobby from 3-5pm on Monday, November 14th. Refreshments will be served!

• North Georgia Students Around the World (North Georgia students with landmark of the host country)
• People and Culture (Features people from the host culture)
• Creative/Artistic (Architecture, Landscapes, Nature, etc.)
Award
A $50 prize will be awarded to the first place winners in
each category.
***By submitting photos to this contest, students are
allowing the Center for Global Engagement/Study Abroad
Office to use their photos to promote study abroad programs
and other international activities. This may include selling
reproductions of student photographs for study abroad and
international education purposes.
