 Degree Maps and Plans of Study

 The English Department offers programs of study for students earning their first degrees in English Education as well as for post-baccalaureate students. 

Students earning their first degrees in English Education should print out and read “A Guide for the NGCSU English Education Major, 2012-13” and also the “ Plan of Study for the English Education Degree.” Students starting in Summer 2007 or earlier should use the old version of the “Plan of Study for the English Education Degree” instead. 

 Students who already have a degree in English and want to be certified to teach should read the “Guide for the English Education Major” and the “Post-baccalaureate Plan of Study One.” 

 Students who have a degree in a field other than English and want to be certified to teach English should read the “Guide for the English Education Major” and the “Post-baccalaureate Plan of Study Two.”
