On Campus Opportunities

Become an International Peer Advisor! (IPA)

The Center for Global Engagement offers the opportunity for study abroad alumni to volunteer in the office as an IPA.  An IPA will assist students on the study abroad application process, attend class presentations, and promote study abroad opportunities that are available at North Georgia.   If you are interested in participating in the program please contact the Center for Global Engagement.

Mentor an International Student

The Mentor/Mentee program is a volunteer program where study abroad alumni assist incoming international students adjust to the culture of the North Georgia campus and community. If you are interested in participating please contact the Center for Global Engagement.

Join an International Club/Organization

Another way for you to become involved on campus  would be to join an internationally focused club or organization on campus.  These groups are great outlets for you to share your study abroad experience and for you to be a part of an international students study abroad experience.  International Student Association and Rotaract are hold many activities throughout the year.  For more information contact Coordinator of Student Leadership & Commuter Services at 706-864-1481.
