Summer programs
The Santander Program offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Spanish language and culture, allowing them to use their Spanish skills in a real life setting. Students will stay with a host family while attending the university.
The Quebec Program is an academic program, supported by co- curricular activities designed to give students the opportunity to apply their French language skills in everyday situations.
German Plus!
Paderborn, Germany
German Plus is a German language intensive program for North Georgia students who are interested in completing a German minor. The program takes place in Paderborn, Germany and students will attend classes at the University of Paderborn. Students live with a host family where they will have the opportunity to apply the language skills learned in the classroom to everyday life situations.
Located in Seoul, South Korea, the Sogang Summer Program offers a wide variety of classes to choose from. For this program, Korean language proficiency is not needed and many students go with no prior knowledge of Korean. There are a wide variety of majors to choose from and many courses are taught in English. Participants will live in the International dorm.
Students will spend four to five weeks in one of these countries: Ireland, Germany, France, Russia, England, or Spain. In these programs, students blend classroom experiences with group and individual travel as they earn academic credit at their home institutions. These programs offer core classes such as history, economics, foreign languages, music, art, and other related courses
This is a four- week program that takes place in La Serena, Chile. Students will take Spanish language courses combined with Chilean culture and current social and political issues. This program offers courses in Spanish, history, political science, and criminal justice. Students will stay in apartment-style housing with a roommate while attending classes at the University.
This is a four-week program that takes place in Zhengzhou, China. Students will stay in hotels and international dormitories. The program offers courses in general studies including: accounting, business, communication finance, history, political science, psychology, and other related subjects.
Immerse yourself in the study of modern standard Arabic
and experience firsthand the various aspects of Moroccan
life and culture. The program will be offered in conjunction
with faculty from Hassan II University in Casablanca; who
will provide guest lectures and also excursions to
Marrakech, Fes, Meknes and Rabat. Students will stay with
host families of Hassan II students from the American
Studies program.
Semester Programs
Located in Beijing, China, the Tsinghua Exchange Program offers students the opportunity to spend a full semester or academic year at Tsinghua University. This program offers multi level courses in Chinese language. Students will pay tuition & fees, and room & board at North Georgia; switching places with a student from Tsinghua.
Deadline to apply for Spring Semester is October 1st and deadline for Full Academic Year is April 1st.

Located in Fribourg, Switzerland, the Fribourg Exchange offers a beautiful and vibrant location for the student to experience Switzerland’s bilingualism. Fribourg offers a Semester or a Full Academic Year Program. This is a tuition only exchange program where tuition is paid at North Georgia. Requirements for the Fribourg Exchange include the completion of intermediate language courses in either French or German. Students participating in the program will take 12 credit hours in German or French, and live in dorm-style housing.
Deadline application for Spring Semester is December 1st and for Full Academic Year is June 1st.
ISEP offers study abroad programs at 295 colleges in 39 different countries and allows students to switch places with an international student at another ISEP school. ISEP students will pay tuition & fees, and room & board at NGCSU, making studying abroad a very affordable option! There are many program options which offer English-only courses.
Deadline for application for the Fall/Academic Year is January 1st and for Spring Semester is September 1st.
The University of Northumbria is located in Newcastle, England, a vibrant city located on the banks of the Tyne River. Students from participating Georgia universities may apply for a full academic year exchange or for a fall or spring semester exchange. This is a tuition only exchange program where tuition is paid at North Georgia, and students will be expected to arrange housing and meals with the host university.
Deadline for application for the Fall/Academic Year is March 1st and for Spring Semester is September 1st.
School of Business Programs
London Experience
This program will expose North Georgia students to business practices and cultures other than their own. Students will observe international commerce an economic activities in a location of historical business significance.
Students will spend 9 days of Spring Break in London, England touring, learning, and gaining knowledge of a culture rich with global influences and the multinational evolution of British industry. This trip is offered as part of the BUSA 4528 International Business course requirement.

Culture Immersion--A Healthcare Experience
Honduras
A 10-day summer trip will allow nursing students to experience what it is like to be a health care official in a third-world county. Students will stay in a local hotel as a group and will visit local villages to provide medical and health care. The course offered is NURS 3250/NURS 5250.

School of Education Programs
Field Experience
Gloucester, England
Students will spend an entire month in the Spring or Fall semester in England. This experience will help students fulfill 50% their Spring EDUC 4404 or Fall EDUC 4001 fieldwork requirement hours. Students will be provided with the opportunity to learn about the British educational system, while working in elementary classrooms. They will be exposed to the philosophy of Every Child Matters and be able to compare it to No Child Left Behind.

Poland Experience
Krakow, Poland
A three-week summer program for graduate students which will an opportunity to become familiar with the Polish school system and broaden their educational and cultural perspective. Students will stay with a Polish host family and will take two 3-hour courses during their stay. In addition to coursework, students will have a chance to visit Auschwitz, Polish salt miles, and a variety of other historical sites.

France Exchange
Montoire Sur de Lior, France
Graduate Students will stay in France for the duration of three weeks and take EDUC 6000 and EDUC 7790. Students will teach in French schools in classrooms where students are studying English while staying with a French host family. Students will have the opportunity to expand their educational and international perspectives. Other excursions are planned, including Paris and the Loire Valley.

Programs for Cadets
The program will focus on giving Cadets the opportunity
to have a cultural immersion in Taiwan, while studying
Chinese language. Students will be expected to register for
INTL 3001 during the Spring Semester, but all of the
academic course work will take place prior the departure
date and during the visit to Taiwan. This program is only
for ROTC Contracted Cadets.
