The overarching purpose of the Exercise Science emphasis area within the Department of Health and Physical Education is to provide the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical competencies for our students to be effective and competitive in clinical, corporate, community, and commercial fitness settings. In designing the Exercise Science emphasis area, the behavioral objectives and standards established by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) were employed.
For following documents will provide you the necessary details of the program’s educational framework with the culmination of the student’s formal education involving a clinical internship.The Exercise Science emphasis area is not an open option for a degree (i.e., acceptance by NGCSU as well as program application and approved admission are required). Students wishing to enter the program must submit a complete application packet for admission to the NGCSU School of Education.
