North Georgia's Quality Enhancement Plan

2004

Fall

Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Committee appointed  
QEP Committee reviews standards, literature, and other institutions QEP plans. Analysis of NGCSU Surveys: NSSE, CIRP, CSS, Faculty, and Alumni. General themes exploration.  

 

2005

Spring

QEP Committee uses Appreciative Inquiry and Affinity Diagrams as foundation for change process. Potential topics emerge -- citizenship, leadership, diversity, critical thinking etc.  

 

Summer

Discovery/Dream Sessions done across campus with Faculty, staff, students, and community members. Number of participants = 209  

 

Fall

Quantitative and qualitative analysis completed. Topics collapse and Information Literacy topic found to be relevant, foundational, interdisciplinary, and congruent with University mission and initiatives.  

 

2006

Spring

Information Literacy topic announced across campus as topic. Input and participation sought from faculty, staff, and students. QEP Design Team appointed by QEP Committee.  

 

Summer

Information Literacy Curricular/Co-Curricular Integrated Design and assessments across the curriculum plan emerges.

Design feedback sought

Initiate Pilot Program in selected courses
