Sociology Program Mission

The sociology department is committed to providing a high quality liberal arts education as a basis for traditional arts and sciences undergraduate programs. Students completing the major will be able to think critically, to successfully apply the scientific method to the social world, and will compete nationally in their knowledge, methods, theories, and analytical processes.
