Note: If your department does not currently have access to the International Experience Database form, please contact Michele Barton at msbarton@northgeorgia.edu in order for your department to be added. Please include:
- Department Name
- Name of your Content Editor that will be entering the information.
International Experience Database Input Instructions
Part One - Getting to the International Experience Form
- Log into Ektron
- Click “Workarea” button
- Once in the workarea window click “Content”
- In the “Folders” area of the workarea window click on the “Campus Info” folder
- Then click the “International Experience” folder
- Then click your department’s folder
- Once you have clicked on your department’s folder please go to “Part Two” of the instructions for guidance on creating a new international experience entry or “Part 3” of the instructions for editing an existing entry
Part Two - Creating a New International Experience Entry
- In order to create a new international experience entry, click “New” in the menu bar then select and click “International Experience”
- Once the International Experience form comes up, above the "Content", "Summary", etc. tabs is the "Title" field, input the persons name which you are entering data for
- Input the data in the fields of the form
- For the “Education” section, to add another education box please click on the blue “+” icon where it says “+ Education” at the bottom of the “Education” box.
- For the “Countries Visited” section, to add another country box please click on the blue “+” icon where it says “+ Countries” at the bottom of the “Countries Visited” box.
- For the “Language Proficiency” section, to add another language box please click on the blue “+” icon where it says “+ Language Proficiency” at the bottom of the “Language Proficiency” box.
- Once you have completed all the fields, please go back and check the form to make sure that all entries are correct.
- Once all fields have been confirmed to be correct, click on the “Publish” icon in the form’s menu bar and it will upload to the database

Part Three - Editing an Existing International Experience Entry
- In order to edit an international experience entry, select the entry you would like to edit from the content list and click on it
- Once the form comes up, click the “Edit” icon on the menu
- Edit the form as needed
- Once edits are completed, click the “Publish” icon on the menu bar
